held a memorial service for member Lauren Baker, who lost her life in a traffic accident during Thanksgiving weekend.

Loyola-Marymount University

hosted Mom’s Day on campus and the chapter enjoyed a trip to Disneyland. Xi Omicron participated in the annual Lip Sync competition with the theme, “I Dream of DZ,” inspired by the television show, “I Dream of Jeannie.” The chapter’s Turtle Tug brought 90 teams to the event and raised $8,651.25 for The Painted Turtle camp.

participated in Sigma Chi’s Derby Days competition, which raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network, and co-hosted a dinner with the fraternity for the cause.

donated supplies and raised money for My Sister’s Place, a shelter for women who have experienced domestic violence.

members were among the 1,000 people who participated in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Parade organizers praised the show of unity that the parade fostered, and they thanked the student and youth organizations for their participation.

the campers and staff.

planned Founders Day brunch in conjunction with their Parents Weekend. Members of the Phoenix Valley Alumnae Chapter were also invited to attend the event.



CORRECTION

In the last issue of The LAMP, it was reported in error that the Beta Lambda Chapter (University of Tennessee/Knoxville)had made a donation to the Kentucky Academy in Ghana. The Alpha Theta Chapter (University of Kentucky) is the correct chapter that made the donation. We apologize for the error.
